The road to a leaner body isn’t hours spent on the treadmill or pounding the pavement. While cardio has its benefits, you’ll achieve faster, better results with interval training.
What is interval training?
It’s bursts of high-intensity effort paired with slower, recovery efforts.
For example, when running on the treadmill, go as fast as you possibly can for a full minute and then slow down the pace for recovery… and repeat. Fifteen to 20 minutes of interval training performed like this can burn as many calories as an hour of traditional, steady-state cardio.
Interval training also has an added benefit: the after-burn effect.
It keeps your body burning calories long after the training has ended. Who doesn’t want that?
Trade in your cardio for interval training and let us know what results you get.
