The Recovery Meal

When we think of “the most important meal of the day”, we think of breakfast. Well, not this time.

I want you to think of your “recovery meal”. What are you eating after a good workout? Too often I hear women saying they don’t want to undo the calories they just burned so they skip their recovery meal.

No bueno.

Replacing the fuel you’ve just used to burn those calories is critical to building lean muscle and continuing to burn fat. You want to get at least 15-20 grams of protein and 20-30 grams of healthy carbs within 30 minutes of your workout to help your muscles recover, increase your energy, and develop that lean physique.

So, when planning your meals and workout time… make sure you get that post workout meal in there!
