$hit or get off the pot!

I will never forget sitting on the phone with a guy who was trying to sell me on this product. He gave me his spill and in many ways the product sounded good. At the end of his spill he told me how much it would be. The price wasn’t bad but it didn’t serve an immediate need and I  felt I needed to wait or get more information before I made a buying decision.shit-or-get-off-the-pot1 I asked him if I could get his information and give him a call back after I had thought about it. His response was, “Well I kind of need to know now, It’s one of those things where you either $hit or get off the pot!” I politely thanked him for his time and hung the phone up. When I tell you from then on I HATED that phrase. Literally HATED it. Did I say I HATED IT? Yup. H-A-T-E-D IT!

Fast forward a few years later and I am sitting in the parking lot of the Post Office. I am on the phone with a potential business coach. I had already done a month of coaching with him and it was time to make a commitment or move on. We talked for a few minutes and then he told me how much it would be and of course I said I had to think about it. Guess what came out of his mouth next.  Yup, you guessed it. ” Well Percy, if you know this is something that you need to help you get to where you are trying to go, then you need to make a decision. You either $hit or Get off the Pot.”

So many words came to mind to tell him in that moment as mentioned before how much I HATED that phrase. This time was a little different though. Remember back in the first scenario I said that the product didn’t serve an immediate need. Well this one did, and in this instance he was right. I knew all along that I needed and wanted help with taking my business to the next level, I just let fear and uncertainty keep me from taking action.

You keep saying that you want to run a 5k,10k, or marathon but you never sign up for the event and get the training you need to complete one.

Well I’m here to let you know that if you are not going to make a decision to do what you need to do in order to get the results that you are looking for then its time to “Get off the Pot”. I know your friends get tired of hearing you say the same thing year in and year out. I know you probably get tired of saying it year in and year out. So what are you going to do about it? In 2016 make a commitment to taking action on something that is going to take you closer to your goals. Whether it is fat loss, performance based, financially or whatever, go on ahead and take that DUMP and get it over with. You will feel much better!

You don’t want to be that person who has those same ole excuses, “Well, see what had happened was…” because they failed to take action on their goals. Take action and attack your goals with Ferocity. No_FUDThe only way to do this is stop letting Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt rule your world.
